Obituary of John Thomas Staluppi

John Thomas Staluppi, 89, of Marlboro Township, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at The Manor in Freehold Township. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he has resided in the Marlboro Greens section of Marlboro since 1988. He was a proud United States World War II Army Air Force veteran from 1944 to 1946. John loved his job as lithographer for Dart Press in Manhattan and retired after 40 years to spend more time with his family. He was fondly known as " the man with the pipe". He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, the former Dolores Leonardo; his two daughters, Debra Helsten and Carol Staluppi; and his grandchildren, Michael Fries and Taylor Selover. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 5th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, Route 520, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
