Obituary of Luz "Lucy" Estrada Oloriz

Luz M Estrada Oloriz, affectionately known as Lucy, 63, of Marlboro, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Centra State Medical Center. Lucy was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and moved to Marlboro 4 years ago.

Lucy loved living! Lucy had a radiant smile that brightened every room she entered. She had a sense of humor that would make anyone laugh.  She had a generous and warm heart and fought fiercely for those she loved.  She loved cooking and feeding the soul.  She advocated for animals, and helped others when able, especially with medical issues. 

Luz was a loving and generous wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  Luz was predeceased by her grandmother, “Mami Dul,” Dulce Maria Estrada; her mother Nancy Barbara Estrada-Villegas; her father Robert Estrada; her siblings Astrid Estrada and Robert "Mac" Estrada; her cherished dogs who were like her children, Samantha, Nikita, Sugar and Grace. She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years Juan Oloriz; her sister Dulce Estrada, her family Aldrin and Astrid, and her dog Violet.  She is fondly cherished and will be greatly missed by Juan’s family, her nieces and nephews, and friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday, August 18, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A memorial service will be held during the gathering. Interment will be private.
