Obituary of Andrea J. Giordano

Please share a memory of Andrea to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Andrea Jane Giordano, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend well known, passed away on July 16th at her home in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Known for her warmth, generosity, hospitality, and unforgettable smile, she lived a full life, filled with the love of her son, siblings, step-sons, parents, nieces and nephew, and dear friends. Andrea was a well-loved person who greatly loved and cherished others and had an uncommon zest for life.

Andrea was born October 9, 1951 in Newburgh, New York. The oldest of three children, she was born to Rudolph and Charlotte Neuss. Upon graduating from Newburgh Free Academy in 1969, Andrea earned a degree in psychology at SUNY New Paltz before moving to New York City to pursue a career as a business relations manager for Avis Corp and Corporate Health Examiners. Her love of New York City’s vibrancy was only matched by her love of horses and she was an accomplished rider and fox hunter, who had many fond memories of rides and hunts as a member of Hidden Hollow Hounds hunting club in Colts Neck, New Jersey.  Through fox hunting, she met Vincent Cerullo (Master of the Hunt) and the couple were married in 1988. They welcomed their son Vincent Andrew Cerullo in October of 1989. Later in life she met and married John “Jack” Giordano II. They made their life in Southampton, New York where they were known as gracious hosts and beloved members of the Southampton community.

Everyone who knew Andrea remembers her for her beaming smile, her beauty, her positive and uplifting disposition, her love of life, and her open-hearted embrace for all who encountered her. The number of lives she touched are too many to count. Her dedicated circle of close friends provided wonderful support to her in Andrea’s last months of life.

Embracing her in Heaven now are her mother Charlotte Biasi, her step-father Joe Biasi, her father Rudolph A. Neuss, her aunt Jane Bayne, her brother Rudy, and her late husbands, Jack and Vincent.

She is survived by her son Vincent Andrew Cerullo, her nieces Annilee Neuss, Carla Neuss, and Rebecca Neuss, her nephew Alex Neuss, her step-sons Mark and John C. Giordano III, and her beloved and admiring brother, Carl Neuss.  Andrea’s final days were spent in the loving care of her son, Andrew – who was the pride and joy of her life.

Services are entrusted to Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, from 12:30PM to 3:30PM at The Molly Pitcher Inn, 88 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ.
