Andréa and I met as Freshman at SUNY New Paltz in 1969, and we both lived in Gage Hall. Our friendship, and oh so many adventures, continued from there. Once again, we were roommates on E. 63rd St. in Manhattan with another friend – 3 of us in one bedroom apartment, but we loved it. We also loved Happy Hours, weekends in Fire Island/Hamptons, tennis/US Open, working togethers at Avis, skiing in Stratton, and many, many dates, I could barely keep track of her! Everybody wanted to know/be with Andrea, both men and women as no one could ever resist it her Carly Simon smile (as she called it). I was blessed to be the Maid of Honor at her marriage to Vince, and I threw her a bridal shower in my new/totally unfurnished apartment on the Upper West Side. Her mother, Charlotte, made delicious deviled eggs that I will never forget. I have so many wonderful memories of her and I could go on and on forever…
She was my best friend for life, always there for the happy times but also there for the difficult moments that she insisted on sharing with me- I loved/adored/admired her, still do and always will. She’s in my heart, she’s in my soul. May her memory be for a blessing.
