Our hearts are broken! I first met John in 1996 when I needed to find a dentist for my children. My daughter had a horrible experience with a previous dentist, she was only two, and John took the time with her, made her laugh. It took a few visits, but she became comfortable with him, looking in her mouth.
28 years later, my daughter still uses John as her family dentist now
He is the most caring, compassionate person. My dental visits are more like getting together with a part of my family, sharing stories of our children and our lives.
John is more than my dentist, he is part of our family.
My love and condolences go to his wife, his son, and his daughter. He loved them more than words could express.
We love you, and always will. You will be in our hearts forever.

There are no words…….
I was grieved to hear the news of the passing of my good friend and Brother Paladin John “Oyster” Nazzaro, and I am grateful that I made that phone call in 2013 to reconnect.
We conversed often, catching up with each other, and attended a couple of Mets/Phillies games. That’s where I met his son.
We argued politics ALL the time, and each argument ended with “I love you, brother.”
Growing up, John was like Sara Lee Pastries: NOBODY didn’t like him. His good nature ensured he would be accepted into any group. Always smiling. ALWAYS smiling. I envied him for that.
I also know he loved his wife Laureen, and was EXCEPTIONALLY proud of John and Carly. I wish to express my deepest condolences to them.
There’s an old African saying: “No one is truly dead until the last person that remembers them is gone.” John is gone, but his memory will live on through family and friends, so he’s not dead. He’s just not with us anymore.
Rest in Power, Brother Paladin

12 years ago, Dr. Nazzaro took a risk in hiring me right after I graduated from the dental assisting school in NJ. He gave me my first dental assisting job. He taught me every thing about dentistry. I still remember the first procedure I assisted him just like it was yesterday. It was just a simple tooth extraction, but it was the first time I saw that much blood in a patient’s mouth. Dr. Nazzaro noticed that I was nervous and looked pale. He told me to go get some fresh air and he would finish everything by himself. I can say that he was my father of dentistry! He was such a great boss and person. It was an absolutely honor and privilege working with him! May he rest in eternal peace. I’ll miss him dearly ❤️
Love,
Piya
