Obituary of Anita Bridget Del Plato
Anita Bridget Del Plato, 67, of Manalapan, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She was surrounded by loved ones. Anita was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved with her family to New Jersey in 1996.
Anita was predeceased by her son Nicholas and brothers Peter Jordan and Matthew Jordan. She is survived by her loving husband Lance; children Bridget Sullivan (George), Katie Mondano (Philip) and Lance Del Plato Jr (Erica); siblings Warren Jordan (Clare), Kevin Jordan, Timothy Jordan, Magdalene Merola (James), Terrence Jordan (Theresa) and Mary Jane Gillespie (Michael) and her four grandchildren Mackenzie, Rylee, Philip and Charleigh.
Her family would say: She was the conductor of our orchestra. With love and laughter, she ensured we played to the rhythm of her baton. Anita’s “strong constitution” inevitably helped her weather the storms of life. Through it all, Anita was always the life of the party showering those around her with love, laughter and kindness. She had a profound understanding of the healing power of forgiveness. Anita was always at her best when surrounded by family and friends. She was the glue that held us all together.
