It is shocking that our friend Nick is gone, such a healthy, strong man taken from all of us so suddenly. Such a rock. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and their family as they try to move on from such sadness and anguish. Even before Cindy and I got to personally know Nick and Nancy we admired them as they walked through the neighborhood on a daily basis, always together and walking as a synchronized unit, side by side. That’s how I will always remember Nick, always friendly, with a great sense of humor and that big ole smile on his face. We miss you Nick but I know you will always be close by watching over Nancy and the family.

We hope you find comfort in all the wonderful memories you have of Nick. Every time we walked by your Florida house we’d see Nick working on something wearing his memorable sleeveless white tee. I’d worry about a cold snap if I ever saw him in a shirt with sleeves! I’ll miss seeing him across the canal walking in perfect step with you Nan! RIP Nick!

Playfully remembering Nicholas, it's hard to find a person more generous with his laughter and friendship. Always there when neighborliness meant the most - like rebuilding our homes after Ian's wrath. Nights filled with chuckles and chatter, refueling us for another day’s battle. It became a running gag how familiar he was to everyone passing by- ready with a wave. A rare gem of kindness, humor, and helpfulness- Nick might have left us but his memories continue charging our days!
