We are so very sorry to hear of Marv’s passing. It was always easy to see how much he loved his family. And when we we’re around all he always made us feel like part of the family. He was so generous in the questions he asked, and with the time he would take to talk with us. We always loved our time with him, and we will sorry we couldn’t be there to say a proper goodbye. Sending love to you all.
David, Jenn, Sophie and Katherine

What a gracious man who would help anyone. The best thing was when Marv and Laurie moved onto Tudor Road. My earliest memory of Marv was when I was working on the lawn in the front of our house. Marv stopped the car and said, "We're getting baby'! From then on, we became the closest of friends.

I was one of Marv’s good friends and fishing buddys. He would catch fish and I would watch him catch fish. This bothered Marv and from time to time he would insist that we switch places at the lake so I could catch a fish. After we switched, he would catch a fish and I would watch him catch a fish. For me it was never about catching fish rather it was spending quality time with my good friend. I am so going to miss you buddy. So going to miss you..

When I think about Marv, one of the first things that comes to mind is our New Year’s Eve parties. Marv had his scotch and ginger ale!Marv and I in the kitchen carving meat or turkey and cleaning up. Watching him make blender drinks on the Fourth of July. Thoughts of him are surrounded with fun times and good friends. Those are all good memories.

Marv always took good care of me in his pharmacy when my kids were little. But the thing I remember most about him was when he came into Sweet Lew’s for lunch and sitting at the counter talking to me. I liked waiting on him.

Marv was our pharmacist when I was growing up. My mother had high respect for and trust in him. A good man. RIP, Marv.

Where to start…
Marv definitely was the king of restaurants…he loved his food…yes, ‘close the door and turn off the lights’…and yet he was extremely patient…when I would come back 2-4 times a year for 3 weeks at a time for years to prepare my moms house for sale, he never made me feel that I was not welcome, even when we would get in to some very heated arguments and even when Laurie and I were rolling around on the floor in uncontrollable laughter and he had no clue what was so funny…he’d just shake his head and say we were nuts…eventually I learned NEVER to talk politics with him, even though he tried real hard to goad me into a discussion all the time…my husband who only met him a few times, loved going fishing with him…
Marv definitely was one of a kind… I’ll miss you Marv…
See you on the other side…✌️

Marv was one of the smartest and kindest man I have ever known. You always knew where you stood with him, you always knew to "close the door", you always knew he was fair and generous. His love for his family had no boundaries and his heart extended to all those around him. There will only ever be one Marvin and I was blessed to have known him. Rest in God's peace, Marv, you have earned it.

Laurie, Jenn, and Brian,
Marv will certainly be missed. I always enjoyed being outside when he took his walk down the block. He would stop to say hello and to fill me in on his weekly adventures of fishing and eating. He made me laugh as he would be walking down the street in that leather coat, even when it was 85 degrees outside. I will not forgot his kindness and generosity, never hesitating to let us barge in to use the pool. And of course, the 4th of July celebrations were always something we looked forward to each year. We have a lot of fond memories from 11 Tudor Rd and are grateful to have known Marvin.
Love, Ali, Jeff, Simon, and Maggie
