I met Linda when I was in Kindergarten. She was the “Girl Scout mom” when I first met Heather. She was always involved in everything; Girl Scouts for both her daughters, the PTA. She was the mom who carpooled and the mom who hosted the best sleepovers. My very first scary movie definitley was at the Gofstein house. Linda loved movies and passed the love of all movies & TV shows down to us. Some of my favorites were introduced to me by Linda, Heather & Kyla. Sugar & Spice, Scary Movie, LOST, I don’t know who to blame for Thirteen. . . Heather, Kyla and I were the three amingos but Linda was really the fourth. She always wanted to know what was going on in our lives. She would gossip with us, unite with us against our enemies, and as we got older sneak us a drink or two. From 6-16 I saw Linda literally every weekend, I even got to go to Orlando for two weeks with the Gofstein’s. Linda was such a huge part of my childhood but we always kept in touch as I got older and always came to big milestones like my baby shower and sons first birthday. I will always remember the laughter she brought to my life, and the ridiculously long times we talked on the phone when we would catch up. I will now apologize for having the cops come to your house at 1AM for trashing Doreen Simon’s lawn. You definitley knew we did it, lol, my alibi even at 13 years old was just too good! I know you’ll show up the moment one your favorite movies is on, or I forget to lock the front door. Rest in peace, You will be missed and forever remembered. -Rebecca Langevin

I am so sorry for your loss Heather Kyla Anne and Howard, please accept my condolences. Your mom loved her two daughters with all her heart and Howie, Linda loved you with all her heart. She was such a fun loving, funny, kind, and sweet friend and woman. I will miss her dearly. I wish I could attend the visitation but I couldn’t get the day/afternoon off from work and since I work until 7PM and live an hour and an half away, unfortunately, I won’t be able to make the evening hours as well. I also won’t be able to make the graveside service on Saturday morning. I feel terrible I can’t attend any of the services. Please accept my apology but know I will be there in heart. Please know I will be thinking of you all and sending prayers for you all on Friday and Saturday and for always. Both you and your sister will live up to her legacy. Love you all. My heart is broken! May she no longer be in anymore pain. I know she will be up in heaven watching over you all while of course, sun tanning, drinkkg Champagne, celebrating CHRISTMAS every day, watching her soaps, shows and HALLMARK movies She was such a welcoming presence, she welcomed me with opening arms into her little GENERAL HOSPITAL FAN FAMILY. It was an honor, pleasure, and privilege being included in on the Christmas parties, pool parties and Christmas in July pool parties, they were so much fun. It meant a lot to me when the one time I couldn’t make it to a Christmas party she had another one two weeks later so I could attend. If you need anything please don’t hesitate to ask!
