I am Richard's cousin. My parents divorced when I was young, so all my memories of my father's family are from the late 40's & early 50's. Every Sunday the Herman & Sonnenschein family met at Rockland Lake, off of Rte9W at the NY border side of where NY and NJ met. We all had a great time there swimming, playing games, and eating. Richard's mother Ann made sure that my brother Andrew & I was invited Richard & Hanna's wedding (I think it was 1958). I was 15 or 16 years old. I remember feeling insulted because we were at the children's table, and thought I was all grown up and belonged with the grownups. It however, was a great wedding which was enjoyed by all. I know that Richard & Hanna's children will make sure their mother gets thru this difficult time. My thoughts and prayer are with you all. And also with his brother's Matt, and Steve.
