My Grandpa was beyond the definition of a true gem. He was the last of his generation left in our family, sharp and charismatic right up until the end. He was 95, almost exactly 60 years older than me, my birthday buddy. I loved to sit and chat with him, about New York history, Stephen King novels, & family stories. He always wanted to hear updates about my life and was so proud of who I have become. He was accepting of me in every way and loved Nicole as one of his own. We are all so lucky to have known him, to have had him as our patriarch, architect, and inspiration. Thank you Grandpa for loving us all so fiercely. I miss you so much already.
