Obituary of Jeannine Philips

Jeannine Philips, 71, of Manalapan, passed away on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Jeannine was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and resided in the central NJ area since her 20's. With a foundation from her devout parents and formative years in Catholic school, Jeannine held a strong belief in God and the spiritual realm. She was a beautiful servant of her faith, especially in her extraordinary caretaking abilities for her husband through long term illness, while raising her two daughters. In June of 2018 after 27 faithful years of service at the Old Bridge Board of Education, Jeannine was filled with joy when it was time to finally retire. In her spare time, Jeannine was a talented crafter, shifting her focus through the years from crochet to jewelry making, sewing and more. Jeannine can be remembered for being a devoted wife, loving mother and a free-thinking woman.

Jeannine was predeceased by her husband Arthur.  She is survived by her daughter Dawn and her husband Youness; daughter Danielle; stepson William and his wife Lori; stepson Michael and his wife Eileen; stepdaughter Pat and her husband Bill; brother James and his wife Hide; and 5 step grandchildren.      

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, March 27th, from 12pm to 3pm, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.  Memorial speakers will begin at 2:30pm on Sunday.
