I just heard my Aunt Gertrude passed. My enduring memory of her is the tremendous warmth she always displayed to everyone. . .especially us nieces and nephews, even when we were at our most annoying stage, running roughshod throughout her house and backyard. . .never an unkind word. . .never a. . . 'get these kids outahere!!". . .it was always. ."who wants Kool-aid?". . and the warmest smile like the sun. God bless you Aunt Gert. . .say hi to Uncle Dickie, Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop. . .gosh. . there's a lot of family up there now. . .I can see you all sitting around in the lawn chairs like it was in Aunt Shirley and Uncle Harry's backyard in the Summer. . all the kids playing softball. . .I see you smiling, as always. . and now comforted to know all unanswered questions have finally been answered and all things are good. We will miss you for awhile and we will see you again, soon. All my love, from your Nephew, Kevin McCarthy
