My deepest condolences to the Quirk family. In my years of teaching at the Eisehower Middle School, Joe's door was always open for any of my questions or concerns. May he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his loving family. Monique Castillo

My condolences to the Quirk family..The news of Joe's passing is personally heartbreaking. We started off as colleagues in 1975. Later he became "the boss man". He always supported me as a special education teacher as well as my students. I will remember my friend with fondness.

I was deeply saddened to have heard about Mr. Quirks passing. I attended the Eisenhower Middle School during my 6th and 7th grade. When I first came to this school, I was very nervous because this was all very new to me after spending my early school years at the Freehold Learning Center. I met Mr. Quirk and Mr. Glazter and they made me feel at home. I will truly miss Mr. Quirk. My deepest condolences goes to his entire family. Mark Sweet!

I was deeply saddened by the news of Joe's passing. Joe was responsible for my 37 year career in the Freehold Township School system. Joe took a chance and hired me late in the summer of 1979. He was my principal, my mentor, and my friend. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and he had a quick, Irish wit at all times! I owe him a huge debt of gratitude for his decision to hire me. The Eisenhower Middle School was my home for 37 years because of Joe. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Sincerely,
Larry Moran

I am so sorry to learn of Joe's passing. We taught together on the same team at Eisenhower School for several years, and then he became our principal, continuing in that position until 1995. I believe he retired in 1998, after being principal at Barkalow School for several years. I saw Joe a few times after I retired (1999) and we chatted about life as retirees, and he spoke fondly of his family. May he rest in peace and may his family treasure the memories.
