First of all let me extend my condolences to you, Jared's family.
The family at Bell Labs feels the loss too.
"Jerry" was a true gentleman who always respected all whom he met. It was a pleasure to work under his leadership; one always felt as truly part of a team. He was always above board, and of the highest ethical standard. He was a good person, one you could consider to be a trusted friend. After our mutual retirements we all enjoyed having Jerry at our semi-yearly luncheons down the shore (and sometimes at the near-by Colt's Neck Inn).
Jerry may you now be rejoicing in God's loving embrace. Rest in Peace
