I was so shocked to hear the news of Marissa's passing, I am so very sorry for her family and for her mother to have to go through the lost of a daughter. I met Marissa working at CLL over 10yrs ago and she was a very sweet and upetity person. Marissa was there for me when my father died and knew exactly what I was going through, it was something we could both relate to, and I appreciated her kindness towards me that day. We lost touch along the years, but met up again back at work and she was still the same sweet, talkative, and upetity person I remembered. May she be reunited with her father again up in heaven and may she rest in peace. Heaven has truly gained an angel.

Marissa, this is so hard to believe that is seems like I'll wake up and see your huge smile again. You never failed to greet me with your famous hugs and your wonderful chatter just went on and on, always making me laugh.
I remember seeing you at the hospital when you were just born, and you dad holding you over his head with one hand, telling me if this was a chicken, he wouldn't buy it. He loved you.
Your talent for taking care of those who needed it, kids with problems, kids that no one else seemed to be able to reach was amazing. I'm sure you changed many lives for the better and helped so many that we'll never even know about.
I miss you already. Uncle Jeff

Marissa I met you when you were 10 year's old hanging out in my garage. You were so smart and bright . You kept insisting to meet your parents, you took mine and Tom's hand and went to your house and that was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. My mind knows that you are in a better place where there is no pain. You are at peace, you will always live on in my heart.

Marissa, your heart was too big for this world. I am grateful for the short time I had with you. Our trip to NYC, our walks in the morning before school and our vent sessions after school. I hate that we didn’t have more time together. You touched my life and so many at our school in such a short amount of time!
Sending condolences, prayers, and love to Marissa’s family especially her mother, sister and nephew. She loved you so much!

Losing you Marissa, was so unexpected and brings such a deep sadness that it seems will never leave us, so I choose to think of all the good that came with you and from you..
You were the first born of the cousins and when you were all growing up
you naturally played and laughed, while somehow still looking out for them and guiding them at the same time.
I will always remember your hugs, they were robust and meaningful, they warmed my heart and I was never once cheated.
On your last visit to Florida, it was turtle season and you were so excited about possibly seeing them come out of the ocean, lumber up the beach, dig their holes and lay their eggs. We headed to the beach with darken sky's above , we threw down our blankets, I explained how the turtles would only come out of the ocean if there was utter silence, and it could take up to an hour of sitting quietly and waiting. .
Well you lasted about 60 seconds before you started enthusiastically talking away about this or that, I reminded you several times, But I dont you think you ever made past a minute without exploding into dialog, and we just both gave up throwing our heads back in laughter.
You did go back to the beach and you did see the turtles lay their eggs, probably because you were alone and had no one to talk to, I am reminded of how you always accomplished something when you set your mind to it, I will Miss you and I will always think of our little chatterbox, Love you always Uncle Ricky

Marissa, I felt so blessed to have a friend like you come into my life, you were like sunshine, warming others up with your love and genuine caring whenever you were around! You were so amazing, giving of yourself, always taking care of others. Never thinking of yourself, never selfish, not once. You were an Angel on earth, and I can’t believe I won’t ever be able to hug you again, see your face, hear your voice. You were the friend I had always wanted, and I so looked forward to getting to spend more time with you, my Cohen, these six months felt like they were just the beginning of so much, and now, I cherish the memories from them, for that is all there is. I love you so much Marissa, your loss is so devastating in every way. Beth, Melanie, and Aiden, please know that I am thinking of you guys, and praying for you! Sending you my love and deepest condolences.

Marissa was in my 10th grade honors class. She was such a ray of sunshine, and I can only picture her smiling. We had a special bond, and continued to reach out through the years that followed. Her last message to me was the day after her birthday, and she shared a lovely thought with me. I'll never forget her sweetness, and I know her light will continue to shine on all who knew her. My deepest condolences to her family. Mary Howlett

From the first day that Mrs Moskal sat you behind me in forth grade, To constant sleepovers and your mom always being mad at us in fifth, to coppying off each other every test Mrs Branigan gave us in sixth, to our seventh grade OM team, to us almost being expelled for breaking a mirror in 8th. To so many of our first in high school, to all the parties, all the nights we didnt sleep, all the nights we did sleep while parties went on around us, all the camping trips, every beach day to never missing a single birthday, to talking on the phone hours a week even when we didn't live close to each other. You were by my side for everything. My heart is broken in a way that can never be fixed. I will miss you forever Marissa. To Beth and Melanie, i am so deeply sorry. There aren't words that can relay the love, compassion, and sorrow I feel for you right now. Please take care of each other and know I'm here if there's ever anything I can do for you.
