Obituary of Gaudencio Hernandez

Gaudencio Hernandez, 85, of Freehold Borough, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at home with his loving family. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he has resided in Freehold Borough for the past 53 years. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold. He was a cabinet maker for Excel Wood Products in Lakewood for many years before retiring. Gaudencio was predeceased by his daughter, Josephine Hernandez, and his brother, Victor Hernandez. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ramona; his daughter and son-in-law, Migdalia and Gary Viole of Ridgewood; his brother and sister-in-law, Jose and Ramonita Hernandez; two granddaughters, Julianne and Jacqueline Puzo; two step-grandchildren, Maria Glasson and Elizabeth Viole; and niece and caregiver, Joyce Garcia. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 18th, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, July 19th, at 10:00 AM, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
