bob and al have had a love story for a lifetime ..
we here at coquito came to meet him 3 years ago when he came here to b near his buddy al atkins and celebrate his birthday and christmas with his buddies and us here at coquito restaurant in warwick ny.
it then became a yearly event for which we are all grateful ..for he has blessed us all with his smile, good sense of humor, and beautiful soul.. he love his friend al .. and it showed in their devotion to each other ..
all of us here at coquito are grateful that he chose to spend his last birthday here with al, his best friends, and us .. where i captured the last picture of him with them having a great time !! RIP bob we will miss you please enjoy them with my love. annette barretto leech owner of coquito <3

Met Bobby Cat three years ago in Alaska.we have been GOOD Friengs since them constantly keeping in touch even though he and Krista would disappera for some unknown reason then reappear. ( Constant Vacations?)I raise a garden every year and being from the SOUTH we have to have hot peppery ehich come to find out Bobby Cat was suppose to be a conisure of them .I believe that over three years I sent him 20 pounds of them He told me he ate them like candy which I belive since he was always asking for more. I always enjoir our phone conversatios which ended with I LOVE. I will always remenber him and wish GOD SPEED>

Reading the Alaska story made me laugh about the strong coffee! I remember one time at the lake house - Krista would leave a note by the coffee pot at night with instructions for the first person who woke up how to use their coffee maker. She said exactly how many scoops of coffee to put in the filter. Well Bob was the first person awake and he started the coffee. We came downstairs a bit later to find the countertop and the floor covered in water and coffee grounds. We asked Bob what happened and he said 'I have no idea, I followed the directions, I put four scoops in". Someone asked him what 'scoop' he used and he pointed to a HUGE serving spoon that was in the sink and said 'that one'. It was hysterical. He really did think those filters were made to be filled to the top!

Bob and I shared the life saving work at Daytop Village for many, many years. In 2005 Daytop was thrilled that we were going to start a new program soley for Women. Bob and I looked at the place it would happen, how we needed to change some of the construction. Shortly before it opened, I would whine about all the red tape involved. BD told me "keep your eye on the prize. That's what is gonna matter in the end. Being able to help all those women in a new, safe place". He would shut me up quick with love and guiandance.

I never met Bobby until his brother John and I made our first trip to Funny Moose Lodge, Soldotna, Alaska.
We hit it off right away. We shared life stories and became the best of friends.
Seven trips later we called each other brother and talked by phone at least once a week for the last two years. We never hung up without saying "I Love You". And I can assure you, my life will be a lot fuller because Bobby was in it.
My fondest memory will be of Bobby in his longhandles every morning, at fishing camp, with the strongest coffee you can imagine in the pot. Bobby thought they made those coffee filters to be filled to the top. He would say "it don't get better than this Brother"
I will miss him more than words can explain. "God speed- I Love You- My Brother.

We cannot tell you how heartbroken we are about Bob's passing. His obituary said it all. Generous and Compassionate! I so enjoyed our talks and equally enjoyed being in his company. Nicole and I are very sorry for your loss. As you can imagine, I feel blessed to have known Bob for as long as I have, and I am happy that Nicole was able to meet him as well. Bob was the closest thing to a father that I had on the east coast when I was younger. He would often remind me of the time he invited me to a steakhouse in NYC to offer me some good advice. Thankfully, he forgave me when I didn't take that advice at first. It was certainly not fun being on his bad side! I am grateful that I have a recent memory of spending time with Bob at Adam's wedding after several years of not seeing him. I smile when I think of the great time we had. I will most certainly miss him.
