Obituary of Ronald Cannella

Ronald Cannella, 76 of Manalapan, passed away on August 30, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center Freehold. Born in Troy, NY, he was raised in Lyndhurst and has lived in Manalapan since 1985. He served 35 years and retired as a psychologist for the State of New Jersey retiring from Trenton Psychiatric Hospital before going into private practice. He was a member of the American and NJ Psychological Association. Ron participated in the Manalapan Community Emergency Response Team, and was a communicant of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Millstone. He was a 1959 graduate of Lyndhurst High School and received the Pinnacle Society Award from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Ron is predeceased by his parents Charles and Jean. He is survived by his wife Connie; daughter Shana and son in law Gary; son Chad; brother Jerome; sister Gloria; grandchildren Nicholas, Gavin and Luke. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 pm Friday at the Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 US Hwy 9 Manalapan. A mass will be held 10:00 am at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Millstone.
