Dear Tia Amalia, Kelly, Lauren, Lily and extended family. Please know we mourn for Uncle Jimmy as any family does. He was a kind person to my parents, brother, sister and me. My siblings and I all have fond memories of him when we came to the US 40 years ago. It's our loss we did not have the opportunity to get to know him better throughout these years and for that, we are also sorry. As you know, my sister, Maria lost her husband Mike on Saturday, August 6 at 8:00 PM and we are still working on making arrangements for his service as well and supporting each other as a family during this difficult time. I hope can understand our absence at Uncle Jimmy's service and ask that you accept out condolences and extend them to the rest of the Dowd Clan. My Dad sends his condolences from Portugal (he is in a nursing home in Cantanhede) and I am sure my siblings will reach out to you personally when the time is right.
