Obituary of Nalani Elizabeth Tesalona

Nalani Elizabeth Tesalona, 29, of Manalapan, passed away suddenly on November 25, 2015 in Monroe Township. Born in Neptune, she had resided in Manalapan for most of her life. A 2004 graduate of Manalapan High School and a 2008 graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, she would have graduated next May with a degree in microbiology. Known for her infectious laugh and story telling ability, she was working a a marine biologist studying leatherback sea turtles, a field that she loved.
She is survived by her parents, Mariano and Nancy Tesalona of Manalapan; her five siblings, Brandon Dorta, Adam Tesalona, Michael Tesalona, Tamika Lopez and Gena Santiago; grandmothers, Gladys Montalvo and Lillian Tesalona; and goddaughter, Isabelle.
Visitation will be Friday, November 27th, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, and Saturday, November 28th, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 28th, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Freehold. Please meet at church Saturday morning. Interment will be private.
