Obituary of Rose Pauline DeLucia
Please share a memory of Rose to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rose Pauline "Rosie" DeLucia, 81, of Manasquan, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Brooklyn she married her husband, Louis in 1960 and they moved to Freehold where she lived before moving to Manasquan to be with her daughter, Debbie. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold. Rose was a seamstress in Brooklyn and then worked at Wemrock Orchards in Freehold until retiring in 1996. She loved spending time with her family, baking, cooking, sewing and crocheting. Rose was loved by many and was called Grandma Rosie by not only her family, but everyone who knew and loved her. There are many fond memories of Rosie, who always had an open door for anyone needing to feel at home.
She was predeceased by her husband, Louis in 1984; her son Louis Jr.; and her parents, Anthony and Marie DePasquale. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Floyd Tilton of Manasquan and Diane and Tom Layton of Howell; her five grandchildren who were the light of her life, Jenna, Diana, Leah and Erika Tilton and Scarlett Layton; and two siblings, Marie Gioia of Rockaway, NJ and Nick and Antoinette DePasquale of Freehold.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, June 14, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
