Vera Ciraulo was my mother in law. She was devoted to her family and over the years would have some enjoyable gatherings in her home. Easter was her favorite time and when the grand kids were small she would always have her blow up Easter bunny on the porch for the kids to enjoy. She loved her grandchildren and would often sing songs and play with them. My daughter called her grandma jewelry because of the fun she had trying her costume jewelry for play. They would have so much fun together.
Vera was an excellent cook and taught me many recipes that I still enjoy making today. We all loved her ricotta pie and meat pie. She would often make homemade manicotti and her sauce was fabulous. I learned a lot about her love of the celebrities. She loved reading biographies and we would share our many read books together. She was incredibly resourceful and would often teach me many ways to make ends meet. I always marveled at how knowledgeable she was about the day to day tasks involved in managing a home.
She encouraged her grandchildren to succeed and find happiness in life. We will miss your loving concern . May god give you love and eternal peace . Love, Helen Ciraulo
