Obituary of Donald Erwin Whitehouse

Donald E. Whitehouse, 78, of Manalapan, passed away on May 15, 2015. Born and raised in Manhattan, he lived in Brooklyn before moving to Manalapan in 1965. He was a founding member of Temple Shaari Emeth, Manalapan. Don was a manager for an air freight and trucking company before retiring. He was predeceased by his son, Eugene. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra; his two daughters, Beth Whitehouse Lupion and her husband, Greg and her step-daughter, Miranda of Long Island, NY and Karen Whitehouse Hinton of Jackson; daughter-in-law, Elva Woodard Whitehouse; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Stan Shepko of New York; and five grandchildren, Tamara Whitehouse, Bryan Hinton, Russell Whitehouse, Tristan Whitehouse and Amanda Hinton. Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, May 16, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery, Monmouth Junction.
