Obituary of Charles Theodore Burke

Charles Theodore Burke, 93, of Freehold, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Centra State Medical Center, peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. Charles was born in Freehold, New Jersey. He enjoyed spending time at his vacation home in Hutchinson Island, Florida, watching football, horse racing and spending time with his family and friends. He had a love for photography and landscaping.  Charles was a para mutual clerk for Freehold Raceway and other race tracks in the Garden State area.

Charles was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Irene Burke; his step-sons Michael Santanello and Martin Santanello and his sister Gail Oster. He is survived by his daughter Vicki Hirshberg and son-in-law Harold Hirshberg of Freehold NJ; his nephew Charles Oster; his grandson Charles Hirshberg and his grand dog Dakota.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, January 27^th from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27^th at 7:00PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private at Old Tennent Cemetery.
