Obituary of Joseph Maritato

Joseph Maritato, 60, of Colts Neck, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Centra State Medical Center. Joseph was born in Brooklyn, New York and has lived in New Jersey since the 1990s.  Joseph had a large love for sports and playing cards. In his spare time could often be found at the casino, the track but most importantly, always answering a call to help his family & friends for anything: if he didn’t already know how to fix it, he would be on YouTube figuring it out.

Joseph is predeceased by his parents Dominic and Theresa Maritato.  He is survived by his sons Joseph Maritato, Philip Maritato, Ryan Maritato and Justin Maritato; his sisters Susan Spagnuolo-Dyevoich and brother-in-law, Frank, Linda Sessa and brother-in-law, Michael and Christine Valenti; and his nieces and nephews, Lauren Valenti, John Valenti, Amanda Varga, Tara Sessa and Matthew Spagnuolo.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, September 15th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.  A funeral service will be held at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home on Sunday at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to The National Kidney Foundation www.kidney.org. To leave a condolence or find directions, visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.
