Obituary of George P. Fischetti

George P. Fischetti, 86, of Marlboro, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at CentraState Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. George was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to New Jersey 6 years ago. Prior to retirement George was a claims adjuster for MetLife for 39 years and then for Guardian Life Insurance Company for 5 years.  He loved to spend time with family and friends and in his spare time could often be found watching sports (Mets, Giants & Rangers) and playing scratch offs.

 

George was predeceased by his parents Rocco Fischetti and Concetta Fischetti; brothers Dave Fischetti, Gus Fischetti, Anthony Fischetti, John Fischetti and Rocco Fischetti and sisters Jean Petito and Rose Piacentino. He was the youngest of eight and was the last surviving of his family. He is survived by his loving wife Rose Ann Fischetti, sons George Fischetti (Michele) and Marc Fischetti (Danielle); and his grandchildren Juliana Fischetti, George Fischetti and Marisa Fischetti.

 

Friends and family are invited to visit on Friday, September 13th , from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.  A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Gabriel's MAIN Church in Marlboro, NJ on Saturday at 11:30 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Mausoleum in Marlboro, NJ.
