There are so many occasions in our lives that include "Lou" and Dan that it is difficult to choose the one story to share about our dear friend.
Our paths first crossed when our children and their's attended grammar school together. Marriage Encounter solidified our bond as we both expressed our belief in our vocation in life.
Through the many years together we shared experiences in travelling as we spent good times in Pennsylvania's "Dutch Country," Lake George, Tampa during Super Bowl, Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, the New England states, Cove Haven Honeymooner's Resort in the Pocono Mountains, and, even the parking lot at Giants' Stadium.
Throughout our shared experiences, Lou was never ever ambiguous about expressing her love for us, as we, in turn, reciprocated.
Occasions that make us smile the most include her unfulfilled mission to coax NY Giants' Harry Carson to give her his old football Jersey. We also remember how she was unabashed as she convinced stadium security officials to allow her entrance to the sacred NY Giants locker room. When Lou set her heart to show her dedication to the Giants, she was never to be denied. We fondly remember her setting a formal dining room table, complete with napkin rings in the Stadium parking lot.
We shared Lou's pain and suffering these many years and admired her resignation to endure. We ask Our Lord to award her much favor as she enters her place in Heaven. She deserves it. God bless you Lou. We miss you so much and will never forget you.
We must note that our paths again will cross, as we will share St. Gertrude's Cemetery with her as the final resting place for our earthly bodies.
