Obituary of Jack Robert Battipaglia, Jr.

Jack Robert Battipaglia, Jr., 72, of Monroe Township, NJ, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.  Jack was born in Astoria, New York and grew up in Whitestone, New York.  He was Vice President-General Sales Manager for Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits.  Jack enjoyed his family first and foremost, a lifetime of many and varied sports activities, interests, his many dear friends, esteemed colleagues, and all of his years working in the Wine and Spirits Industry.

Jack was predeceased by his father Jack Robert Battipaglia and his mother Catherine Rita Battipaglia.  He leaves behind his loving spouse Barbara Jean Battipaglia; daughter Jenna Marie Battipaglia; son Marc Robert Battipaglia; daughter-in-law Georgina Maria Battipaglia; siblings Lorraine Catherine Battipaglia and Robert Joseph (Bettina) Battipaglia; nephews Richard and Joseph (Alley) Buscemi; great-nephews Bennett and Charlie Buscemi; nieces Helena, Catherine and Carly Battipaglia; brother-in-law Stephen Robert (Donna) Perfetti; nieces Christina Perfetti and Megan (Matthew) Perfetti-Lahey and godchildren Robert Anthony Battipaglia, Christina Cavallo, Catherine Battipaglia and Megan Perfetti-Lahey.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, NJ.  A funeral liturgy will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Englishtown, NJ on Friday, July 19 at 11:00AM.  Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery and Mausoleum in Holmdel, NJ.   In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made online at https://raise.rutgersfoundation.org/event/JackBattipaglia in memory of Jack Battipaglia.  To leave a condolence or find directions, please visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.
