Obituary of Joseph D. Arce

Joseph D. Arce, 76, of Manalapan, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Those who loved him and knew him well called him, Bill. Bill was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, but raised in New York City. He began his career as a professional painter working for the Painters Union, CBS, and Rockefeller Center. In his later years, he transitioned into a career in Law enforcement as a Correction Officer for the NYC Department of Corrections. Bill loved sports, music, and movies and he had a passion for teaching the word of God. He served God faithfully for many years in various church leadership positions. This included being the NYC Deputy District Commander of the Royal Rangers, a Men’s Ministry leader, and a Church Elder.

 

He is survived by his loving wife Loni Arce; his daughters Christine Jackson and son-in-law Michael and Erica Scala and son-in-law Paul; his sons William Arce and daughter-in-law Tamara and Joseph Arce and daughter-in-law Jaclyn; seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and his brothers David, Alex and Alvin Rodriquez.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, July 1st from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, a service will be held between 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A private funeral service for the family will be held at Freeman Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 2nd followed by Interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
