Obituary of Mary Ann Pugliese

Mary Ann (nee Sgroi) Pugliese, 78, of Old Bridge, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.  A lifelong resident of New Jersey, she was born in Newark, and raised her family in Union before moving to Old Bridge in 2002. She worked for many years in administration for the Township of Union Police Department before retiring in 2007.  Anyone who knew Mary Ann knew she lived for taking care of, and doing for her loved ones.  

Mary Ann was predeceased by her brother Philip Sgroi. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Thomas Pugliese; son Philip Pugliese and his wife Debra; daughter Jennifer Florio; brothers Joseph Sgroi and his wife Patti; and Donald Sgroi and his wife Phyllis; grandchildren Ashley, Isabella, Alexa, Zachary and Logan, and her precious grandpuppies Ace, Mia, Jax and Stormy.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, June 24^th, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, NJ.  A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Clements Church, 172 Freneau Avenue, Matawan, NJ on Tuesday, June 25th at 11:00 AM.
