Marguerite Ann Denham passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14th 2024. She was born on Father’s Day, June 18, 1961 to Gerald and Irene LaGrega in Bayside NY. She was the elder of two daughters. Her family moved to Manhasset NY where she attended St. Mary’s elementary and St. Mary’s High School. Marguerite graduated from St. John’s University School of Pharmacy where she received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Masters in Marketing. Marguerite went on to work at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Weill Cornell Medical Center in NYC. Later she worked with several pharmaceutical companies including Pharmacia Upjohn, Pfizer, Teva, and Astra Zeneca where she earned several awards for her achievements. Her expertise was in transplant medications and oncology.

In 1995, Marguerite became godmother of Anthony Nicholas Ressa, her sister Linda’s eldest child. Soon after she had two nieces, Danielle 98’ and Arianna 01’ to share her love with.

In 2001, Marguerite met her husband, Michael. Shortly afterward she moved to Freehold, NJ. and on Sept. 6th, 2003 the two were wed at a winery on Long Island’s north fork.  In 2005 they were blessed with their son, Aidan. They continued to live in Freehold where she was a member of St. Roberts Bellarmine co-cathedral until her passing.

Marguerite had an adventurous spirit and had many interests.  She enjoyed several activities including yoga, skiing, wine tasting, cooking, gardening and scuba diving. Marguerite’s love of life was unparalleled, however her greatest joy was being a mother to her wonderful son.

True to her Catholic upbringing, she led by example and was a true beacon of light.  She was always positive and inspired others to achieve their goals and reach even higher. Whether it was as a pharmaceutical sales manager or in yoga class performing a difficult pose anyone nearby couldn’t help feeling the positive energy and love. She developed lifelong friendships with many of her coworkers and fellow yogis. Those who knew Marguerite loved her positive fun loving attitude. She was selfless and caring to all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, incredible mother, adoring daughter & sister, caring aunt, cousin, and friend. Her love of family and devotion to her faith stood out above all.

Marguerite is predeceased by her father, Gerald LaGrega and survived by her husband Michael, her son Aidan, mother Irene LaGrega, sister Linda Ressa, nephew Anthony, nieces Danielle & Arianna and several cousins.
