Obituary of Christopher Chodkiewicz

Christopher Chodkiewicz, 47, of Morganville passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at home.  Born in Point Pleasant, he lived in Brick and South Amboy before moving to Morganville in 2019. 

Chris was a Longshoreman for the past ten years and was a proud member of the International Longshoreman’s Association Local 1588, Bayonne.  A Jets and Mets fan, he was an avid golfer, and was a member of the Bella Vista Golf Club in Marlboro.  He was a devoted father, and enjoyed time watching his kids play sports.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Dagnino; his children, Ella and Ben; his parents, Gene and Mary Chodkiewicz of East Stroudsburg, PA; his sister, Melissa McMahon and her husband Rick of Shamong; his brother Tracy Chodkiewicz and his wife Beth of Matawan; his sister-in-law Robin Plumacker and her husband Dan of Freehold; his brothers-in-law, Thomas Dagnino of Los Angeles and Chris and his wife Kristine of Mahopac, NY; his brothers-from-other-mothers, Tom Ehrlich and his wife Alyson of Wall, and Mark Finnegan and his wife Kelly of Lincroft; his nieces and nephews, Alex, Rae Ann, Kyle, Leigh Ann, Audrey, Cynthia, Hayden, Fiona, Reese, Callan, Brady, Delaney and Norah; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, especially his canine companion and best girl Millie.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 6-9pm at the Freeman Funeral Home, 344 US9, Manalapan NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11am at St. Gabriels MAIN Church, 100 N Main Street, Marlboro. (Straight to church. No viewing prior to mass).  Interment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, 549 County Rt. 520, Marlboro, NJ. Repast: Following funeral (approximately 1-1:30 pm) at the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh, 15 Oak Street, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
