I first met Owen 11 November of 67 when he and
Ellen were racing at St. Louis. Owen and Ellen were
never at a loss for words and were recently married
and full of energy. They made quite a team and
worked hard all their lives to be successful. Owen
loved cards so much I believed he carried a deck of
them at all times. His energy was contagious and
enjoyed verbal sparring on many topics. His presence and laughter is is missed by all who
knew Owen.

I was a co-worker and friend of Owen working together at Vocational Rehabilitation until his retirement. He was a man of his own! Missed him dearly after he retired. Ellen and Julie, so sorry for your loss. Just remember the good times you shared and they will help in days to come. Pamela Morrow

Ellen, Julie, Andy, Tyler & Olivia,
We are so sorry to hear that you lost Owen. We did not know of his illness but we know he spent every possible minute he could with family and horses. We still miss the Balmoral days when we all saw each other often. God bless you all. We watch the races on television and follow your racing events. God bless you all.
With much sympathy,
Sam & Ellen Lilly

As an RN it was my privilege to help care for Owen during the past year. I will always remember his (and Ellen's!) smiling face and how he maintained his good humor and kind heart throughout his medical struggles. He will truly be missed. God bless you Ellen, my thoughts are with you and your family

I will always remember Owen as matter of fact and to the point. For example, in high school, you both would never tell him how much jeans cost. In his eyes why would you ever spend that much on jeans when you could go to Tractor Supply (or someplace similar) and get a perfectly good pair of jeans for much less. What a hard worker and amazing man he was.
