I met Amy when we were 14 and soon met Beverly, Howard, and Lois. I was always hungry and loved eating over. I think the were surprised at my appetite. Beverly and I were both readers. I was a kook but I always felt accepted by Beverly. I took to wearing my father’s old corduroy pants with work shirts. Beverly’s comment: “Don’t stand on any corners, people will throw nickels at you!” I loved her; she was great.
