Obituary of Barbara Ann Vitale
Barbara Ann Vitale, 83, of Manalapan, passed peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at The Chelsea at Manalapan. She was born in Brooklyn, New York. Barbara enjoyed a successful career as a Paralegal for several law firms in Brooklyn and NYC over a 50+ year span.
Barbara loved going on vacations whenever she could and her most treasured experience was her trip to Italy. She also loved going to the beauty parlor every week to get her hair and nails done. Most of all, she cherished spending time with family and friends. Her most joyous times were the Holidays spent with her dearest loved ones.
Barbara was very active in the communities where she lived. She was a committee member for her local affiliate political party, and she served on her community HOA board. She was also a volunteer Hospice aide and a volunteer for the Freehold Historical Society, where she gave tours of historical landmarks in Freehold Township.
Barbara was a devout Catholic and a long time parishioner at St. Thomas More Church in Manalapan. She devoted alot of her time to the Church and helped the Church in any way that she could.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Mary Bonetti and sisters Mary Sacco and Jennie Ferrara. She is survived by her sons Robert Clarke (Leigh Ann) and John Clarke (Debra) and grandchildren Brandon Clarke, Sean Clarke and Lyndsey Clarke.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Tuesday, January 2nd, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 3rd at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Queens, NY.
