Obituary of Hans Heinrich Krohn

Hans Krohn, 94, of Manalapan, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Bremerhaven, Germany. Hans was an apprentice for Charles Bordon in 1945.  He founded Krohn Refrigeration in 1951. Hans was a charter member of Millhurst Firehouse Company #1 on Sweetmans Lane in Manalapan. He taught adult evening classes at Mercer County Technical Schools for over 40 years.

 

 

Hans was predeceased by his wife Irma Krohn and parents Johannes and Anna.

 

He is survived by his three sons and their wives Richard and Jean, Walter and Nancy, Bob and Donna; 5 grandchildren Joe and his wife Suzanne, Anna and her husband Ethan, Rowan and Burke, Bobby and his wife Lauren, Amanda and fiancé Jose and four great-grandchildren Lilliana, Sophia, Nicolas and Riley.

 

There will be a memorial service and burial of cremains at Old Tennent Cemetery scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Jersey Firemen’s Home, 565 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton, NJ  07005.
