Obituary of Robert Sala
Robert Sala, 59, of Manalapan, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023. He was born in Brooklyn, New York. Robert was a union member of Local 94 employed as an Operating Engineer for Rockefeller Group in NYC.
Robert was a devoted husband and father. The core and center of his life was his wife Ann and daughter Kate. Robert was at his best in his role of Dad to his daughter Kate, who was his greatest joy! Rob was quiet and reserved but those close to him knew he had a wonderful sense of humor. He was loyal and true to his family. Robert was a gifted artist and was accepted into Pratt Institute, one of the top five colleges for art and design in the United States after finishing high school. Though Rob decided not to pursue a career in art he took that artistic ability into his carpentry. Rob was the consummate handyman, humble in his gift of carpentry and woodwork – he could fix or build anything! He remodeled the two homes he lived in, Brooklyn and New Jersey from top to bottom and built showroom quality furniture. But it was clear to everyone that his greatest creation was his daughter Kate, who was the center of his world.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Linda Sala. He is survived by his wife Ann Sala; daughter Kate Sala; brother Eugene Sala (Cleo) of Chappaqua NY and sister Joan Kane (Robert) of Red Bank NJ.
