Obituary of Eleanor Reuther
Eleanor Reuther (El), 79, of Manalapan, NJ, lost her life on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Eleanor was born on June 6th, 1944 in Connellsville, Pa, to John T. Kleca and Elizabeth (Libby) Kleca (née Donesec). She attended Dunbar Township High school, Trotter Pa where she was very active in cheerleading and mixed chorus.
On November 26th 1966, she was married to her beloved husband, Daniel T. Reuther Jr., of Clifton NJ. Together, for over 55 years, they resided in Manalapan NJ where they raised their family. Eleanor worked beside her husband, as treasurer of their business, El-Co Color Labs, a family-owned and operated company in which they prided themselves in stellar service and quality printing and photographic services.
She is survived by her son Devin Reuther and his wife Kimberly Reuther (Johnson) of Manalapan, NJ and their children Annalyse, Calvin, Jolie, and Antonina Reuther, daughter Dana Dooley (Reuther) and her husband Patrick Dooley of Salem, MA and their children Aidan and Quinton Dooley, her sisters Audrey Pettineo, Connie Bates, Mary McClintock and her brothers Ted Kleca and Joseph Kleca. El is predeceased by her husband Daniel T. Reuther, Jr., brothers John Kleca, Jr. and Frank Kleca, her sister Patricia Case, and her parents John T. Kleca and Libby Kleca (Donesec).
As a woman of faith, she attended daily mass at Holy Trinity church where she was active in the choir and fellowship.
Eleanor’s most precious gifts were her beloved grandchildren, Aidan, Quinton, Annalyse, Calvin, Jolie and Antonina, whom she doted upon and loved dearly. They will carry her love and memory forever in their hearts.
She was a second mother to many, and offered aid and assistance to many friends in her community and church. She enjoyed singing, ceramics, cooking, homemaking and family traditions. She is celebrated throughout her family for her delicious meals, especially her lasagna, sauce and meatballs, Caesar salad, and her famous pizzelles.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, September 24th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Monday at 11:00 AM, 100 Main Street, Helmetta, NJ 08828. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C.
