Obituary of Dorothy C Czajkowski

Dorothy C. Czajkowski, 96, of Manalapan, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Jersey Shore Medical Center. She was born in Ashley, Pennsylvania and then lived in Garwood, NJ for over 50 years before moving 18 years ago to live with her daughter and her family in Manalapan.  Dorothy enjoyed participating in various events with the Manalapan Seniors.  She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo and watching the races at Monmouth Park.  She also enjoyed playing cards and working on jigsaw puzzles.  Dorothy was well known by friends and family for crocheting and knitting various items for newborn babies and was especially loved for the Christmas stockings she knitted. 

Dorothy was predeceased by her father Andrew Chesla; mother Marcella Chesla; loving spouse John S. Czajkowski; sisters and spouses Marcyanna (Edward) Gray; Genevieve (Theodore) Williams; Helen (Joseph) Bunevicius and Maria (Stephen) Rovinski; brothers and sister-in-law Andrew Chesla, Rudolph Chesla, Frank (Stella) Chesla and Leo Chesla.  Dorothy is survived by her son John (Jack) Czajkowski and daughter-in-law Anna Czajkowski; daughter Donna Rykowski and son-in-law Darryl Rykowski and grandchildren Jonathan and Samantha Rykowski.                          

Friends and family are invited to visit on Friday, August 11, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.  A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church in Manalapan on Saturday August 12 at 9:30 AM.
