Obituary of Nancy Dumon

Nancy Philomena Dumon, 77, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at
her home in Marlboro, New Jersey. Nancy was born in Brooklyn, New York
where she met and later married Thomas Dumon, a NYPD Detective and
Vietnam veteran. Together they raised their two children, Dawn and
Tommy.

While later in life they moved to Manalapan, New Jersey, all of the
friendships they made throughout their lives in Brooklyn stayed with them.
They forever referred to Brooklyn as "home."
Anyone you ask about Nancy will tell you what an amazing cook she was.
On any given night there was enough food to feed an entire neighborhood
even if she was only cooking for two people! Her Christmas Eve meals
were an extravaganza rivaled by no other and it was one you looked
forward to all year.

Her love of games did not stop at cards and video games, she was an avid
lover of Atlantic City. She had the ability to spend hours playing slot
machines and often beat the odds going home a winner.

Her passion for cooking, reading, crocheting and hard work live on in her
children and grandchildren. Her love for her grandchildren was unrelenting.
She had a soft spot for animals and grew up with cats and dogs. Her dog,
Daisy, was a faithful and devoted companion.

Nancy is predeceased by her parents Frederick and Susan Rufrano, her
loving husband of 47 years, Thomas Dumon (2018). She is survived by
her daughter, Dawn (Ryan) of Herndon, VA, son Tommy of Manalapan NJ,
siblings Linda Ridley of Blacksburg VA, Frederick Rufrano of Brooklyn, NY
and her grandchildren Jason, Emily, Lexi and Alana.
