Obituary of Joyce Eileen Fedorco

Joyce Eileen Fedorco, 82, of Marlboro, NJ passed away on July 18, 2023 after a long illness.

Joyce Pry was born the youngest of three sisters on June 17, 1941 to Sophie and John Pry in Carteret, NJ where she was a long-time resident. Graduating in 1959 from Carteret High School, she was a member of the Color Guard. While there she met a football player named Richard Fedorco and they married in 1962. They settled in Carteret until moving to a retirement community several years ago.

Joyce held several jobs, first at WT Grant department stores in the main NJ office in Edison, then took a number of years off to dedicate to raising her family. She then started her career in payroll and bookkeeping for the construction industry.  Joyce and her daughter Jennifer were lucky to spend many years working together before she retired.   She retired from FM Sylvan and she and her husband enjoyed the quiet life until Richard passed in 2019.

Joyce enjoyed painting ceramics and travelling with her children and grandchildren, often to visit her sister’s family, Disney, Hawaii and numerous cruises. She was a big fan of the NY Yankees and Giants for many years. Welcoming and gregarious, she had a large circle of friends – was beyond generous with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Richard Jr. of Aurora, CO, Gary of Lakewood, NJ and Jennifer Oslislo of Marlboro, NJ. Joyce is survived by grandchildren Katherine, Eric and Victoria Fedorco and Evangeline Oslislo.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Sr and her son James Fedorco, both passing in 2019.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Friday, July 21, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Elias Byzantine Church on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery.
