Obituary of Louis J. Schober

Louis J. Schober, 97, of Manalapan, died on February 28, 2015, at Kensington Court, Tinton Falls. Born in Chicago, IL he lived in New York City, Seaford Long Island, Welcome Lake, PA and Manalapan. Prior to his retirement, Lou, was a tool and die maker for the New York City Transit Authority. He loved to sail and belonged to the Long Island Motorcycle Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lena; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Cathy of Mays Landing and Gary and Barbara of Amherst, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Scott Griffith of Rumson; and seven grandchildren, Alison, Laura, Kristen, Brendan, Robert, Bradley, and Caitlyn. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, Marlboro.
