Obituary of Marianne Lignell

Marianne Lignell, 87 of Monroe Twp., NJ passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Brooklyn, NY and worked as an executive secretary for an insurance company.

Marianne was predeceased by her first husband, Leo Murphy Sr and her second husband, Thomas Lignell; her son James Murphy; her two brothers George and Peter Gioia; and her sister Kathryn White .  She is survived by her three sons and daughter, Leo and Carole Murphy of Manchester, NJ; Terrence and Linda Murphy of Barnegat, NJ; John and Michele Murphy of Aberdeen, NJ; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Dominick Pinto of Jackson, NJ; her daughter-in-law Susan of Matawan, NJ; her sister Joyce-Angela Valli of Tampa, FL; her 15 grandchildren, Michael, James, Lauren, Jennifer, Daniel, Christopher, Nicholas, Antoinette, Dominick, Francesca, Anthony, Michael, Ryan, Brandon and Taylor; her 15 great-grandchildren, Joie, Michael, Kayla, James, Jake, Robert, Patrick, Brian, Isabella, Nicholas, Gabriella, Christopher, James, Nina and Alianna.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 4:00-8:00pm and Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 10:00am-12-00pm at the Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, NJ  07726.  A funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 11:30am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to The American Cancer Society. https://donate.cancer.org/?campaign=search&gad=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkKy4go7__wIV1imzAB3HagumEAAYASAAEgJzOPD_BwE  .
