It's over, you're gone, I miss you.
I should be desolate.
And yet, I feel strangely at peace..
It's not that I don't love you still
I do.
More than ever..
But the ties that connect us will
Not severe easily.
Maybe never..
Love is more than physical presence..
More than knowing we will meet
Again.
And yet, I know we will meet again
Sometime..
Because, although it's over,
It isn't.

In the cherished memory of Raymond, who touched many lives with his warm spirit, wit and intellect - a gentleman of courage and creativity. His generosity knew no bounds. His adventurous heart was balanced by his wisdom. As an eternal optimist woven deeply in faith and love, he will be forever remembered by his dearest 1992-2019 fiancée and significant other. We remained close loving friends forever
He is greatly missed as our hearts swell with love for him.

I remember in my late teens, early twenties, when shopping malls were in their heyday, Ray and I always seemed to procrastinate Christmas shopping, but I think he did it on purpose - On Christmas Eve, Ray would pick me up and take me to mall to shop. If you've ever worked retail, especially during the holidays, it can be brutal.
At the mall, he would go from salesperson to salesperson and BS with them, crack jokes, make them smile probably if they didn't even feel like it. It was me who was certainly doing a lot of shopping. I think Ray just liked to go to bring joy, because he loved Christmas so much.
I know he was also so proud in later years of his extensive Christmas set-ups. I hope Evan and Cheryl will carry on that tradition that he loved so much. I will miss my Uncle Ray ("The Godfather") and his spirited, easy laugh.
I feel terrible for everything he went through during this horrific illness, and am so glad he is out of pain and in peace. I'm so, so sorry for the loss of your father. He adored you.
