Obituary of George A Jacobs

George A. Jacobs, 88, of Manalapan, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Centra State Medical Center. George was born in Queens, New York. George was employed as a Technician for Nokia for 37 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed astronomy, bowling and watching sports. George’s favorite teams were the Giants, Devils and the Mets.

He served in the Navy from 1953 to 1957 and the reserves from 1957 to 1961. He was a Plank Owner on the USS Saratoga. After retirement, he drove a school bus for Freehold Regional High School as a substitute bus driver.

George was predeceased by his parents George and Anna Jacobs; son Robert Jacobs; brother Donald and sister in law Shelia from Seldan, L.I.. He is survived by his loving wife Anna Jacobs; daughter Mary Ann (Tom); daughter Erika and grandson Thomas George.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, June 15, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.
