Obituary of Prudencia J. Fernandes

Prudencia J. Fernandes, 96, of Manalapan, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at home.  Prudencia was born in Agueda, Portugal and was employed as a factory worker before moving to New Jersey.  She enjoyed gardening and cooking and could often be found playing with her grandchildren.

Prudencia was predeceased by her husband Diamantino.  She is survived by her son Adriano Fernandes, daughters Alzira Resende, Isabel Goncalves and Maria Clara Fernandes and their spouses.  Prudencia also had 7 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 7, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.  A funeral liturgy will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Thursday at 10:00 AM.
