Anne and my mother,”Betty Johnson “.were good friends for years at Applewood. As my mother approached 100 in 2018, , I returned to Jersey to be close. Anne and my mother, and a few others, often ate dinners together. She was delightful to talk to, and at times she and I laughed and laughed, sometimes over nothing at all. She was always a joy to meet up with in the halls, or at an event
We were blessed to have known her. My mother passed October 9, 2020.

I’ve known Anne all my life. My mother and Anne were dear friends and my mother moved to applewood because of Anne. After mom died I came down every few months and Anne and I would have lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. We had great discussions. Especially political. When my brother and I were kids Anne would visit mom and dad at Christmas and bring us candy! Best memory. I love you Anne. You are missed. Many prayers to you. Nanse Fichtner Kiel xoxo

I was blessed to marry into the Kingsland family 40 years ago so my memories of Aunt Anne and Uncle George are from those decades. Aunt Anne embraced every moment to the fullest. She was generous with her time and talents. She was a strong and determined lady who was beautiful inside and out. We will miss her spunk and ability to find joy in the smallest things. We love you, Aunt Anne. Roger & Diane Kingsland

This is a letter I received from a lifelong friend, Steve Mortenson, who knew Anne well over the years. I would like for all of her family to see it, and to see how much she meant to her friends. The text of the letter follows:
Dear Dave, Irene, and all the Fritzingers,
Eileen and I were so sorry to hear of Anne’s death. But a wonderful life she lived! She was one of the most cheerful people we ever met. Always engaged, involved, and caring, she set an example for all of us on how to live a fulfilling life.
I know she brought great joy to your “Pops” George, and it’s nice to think that they are together again.
Although her smile and boundless energy will surely be missed, I know that she leaves you with countless happy memories.
With love,
Eileen and Steve

This is from the Baldwin family.
Born at home at 331 Cornelia St Boonton NJ. Graduated from Boonton HS 1940. Attended Hood College in Frederick Maryland from 1940 to 1942, and then Drakes Secretarial School in Montclair NJ. She worked for several companies and finally settled into a secretarial position at AT&T Bell Laboratories where she worked for the rest of her career. She retired in 1984 as executive secretary to the Vice President of Bell Labs in Holmdel, NJ. She came to enjoy elderly people while sharing her room with her Grandmother George as a teenager. She looked after her Grandmother Baldwin as well as her parents in their later years. "I became a Deaconess at the Bonton Presbyterian Church and I visited the shut ins, elderly, and sick members of our church."
"After Mother died of cancer in 1962, I transferred from my job at Bell Labs, Whippany, to the Holmdell office. From that time in my life things started looking up. I enjoyed setting up an apartment in Redbank and later in Eatontown where I lived until I married George Fritzinger, Dec 2, 1972"
Anne loved cats, and spending time with her family.
