Obituary of Dorothy Sourifman

Dorothy Sourifman, 100, of Freehold, NJ, passed away on May 29^th at the Jewish Home in Freehold.  Dorothy was born in Linden, NJ to Max and Sarah Zirlin on November 2, 1922.  She attended Linden High School and graduated at the age of 16 in 1939 and was employed as a secretary at Western Electric.  She met her husband William and they married in 1947.  Together they had 3 children, sons Steve married to Lisa, Howard married to Lori and daughter Marcy Friedman.  Dorothy was extremely proud of her granddaughters Skyler Salamon of New York City and Ashley Friedman of Jersey City. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.  Dorothy was predeceased by siblings Lena, Celia, Terry, Samuel and Leonard. 

Friends and family are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 31, from 10:00am to 11:00am, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery.
