Mae M. Maxwell, 95, of Freehold, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015, at home with her family. Born in Point Pleasant Beach, she lived there until moving to Freehold in 2004. She was a member of the Freehold First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Wall Chapter #143. Mae worked for the Ocean County Board of Social Services in Toms River and the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department for many years before retiring. Mae's smile, her twinkling eyes, and her enjoyment of life will be long remembered by those who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband, John; her daughter, Kathleen Branda; and siblings, Leona Spetz and Theodore, James, Edgar and Calvin Falkenburg. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Laura, and John and Harlene; five grandchildren, Samantha, David, Mechelle, Colette and Melanie; her great grandchildren; her great great grandson; and her sister-in-law, Alma Falkenburg.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 6:30 p.m., at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. Interment will be private.
